    Materials:

    Old vanity
    Museum board (available at arts and craft stores)
    Gold acrylic paint
    Sponge brush
    Water
    Glass cut to fit vanity top
    Dried pressed flowers
    Design Master Almond spray paint
    White glue
    Small brush
    Gold inkpad
    Leaf rubberstamp
    Scissors
    Flat knobs
    Two or three sizes of buttons
    Felt
    Needle and thread
    Hot glue
    Mat board
    Pencil

    1. Paint an old piece of furniture with a base coat of white.

    2. To cover an old tabletop that is beyond refinishing cut a piece of museum board to size.

    3. Give it an aged look by spraying it with Design Masters Almond spray paint.

    4. Stamp gold leaves on the mat board.

    5. Lay out the dried pressed flowers (figure A) and then secure them with white glue.

    6. Place the decorated mat board on the tabletop and then place the glass over the mat board.

    7. To give the table a special touch, highlight the carved details by brushing gold paint on them (figure B).

    8. Sew the small button to the medium button and the medium button to the large button.

    9. Trace the large button onto the felt and cut the felt out.

    10. Glue the button to the felt and then onto the flat topped knob (figure C).

    11. Screw the knobs onto the vanity.
