Note: The trick to this arrangement is to keep it balanced and interesting. Use a variety of colors, materials and textures; periodically step back to get a good look at the arrangement and decide what to do next.

    • Select one vase to be the wall arrangement's focal point (figure A). Install that vase first using a nail, screw or drywall anchor, making sure the hardware will hold the vase securely. Also, secure the bottom of the vase to the wall with a non-permanent adhesive such as Sticky Tack.

    • Install the rest of the vases (figure B). Don't line the vases up in a straight line; they should be at various heights and distances from the central vase. Secure these vases in the same way as the first.

    • If using any natural flowers or foliage, place them in the proper vases first. Use glass or plastic inserts to hold fresh flowers as needed.

    • Determine the position of the first doily flower. Hammer a small nail into the wall and use the wire loop on the back of the doily to hang it.

    • Slip one end of a vine in the center vase, securing it to the wall with a small nail just above the vase opening. Work the vine toward the doily flower, curling and looping it to add interest and dimension (figure C). Secure the vine to the wall as needed with small nails.

    • Continue adding flowers and vines across the wall.

    • Paint some additional flowers and vines onto the wall to add to the arrangement (figure D).

    • Fill out the vases with additional artificial greenery.
