    1. Insert the floral foam in the pot and set it aside.

    2. Take the largest cactus, remove the "thorns" and set them aside. Dip the brush in glue and paint over the surface (figure A).

    3. Working over a tray to catch the glitter, pour on the glitter while the glue is still wet and shiny. Continue until the entire cactus is covered. Let dry and return thorns to holes.

    4. Repeat the process for the next cactus, but use a different texture and shade of green glitter. Continue for the remaining cacti.

    5. When they are dry, insert them in desired arrangement into the floral foam using hot glue. Add the moss or straw to cover the foam (figure B).

    Tips:

    • Instead of a cacti garden, you can glitter up some silk roses and leaves. Imagine getting a bouquet of glittered roses!

    • For more dimensions, use different grades and textures such as glass glitter, micro glitter and thick chunky glitter.

    • Glitter comes in all kinds of colors. To add extra sparkle, use various shades of green (figure C) for your cactus.

    • Keep an aerosol can of air close by to blow away any excess.

    • Paint the flower pot to match.

    • For an everlasting shine, seal your project with a spray sealer.

    • To spruce up your garden if it ever gets dusty, spray it with green spray glitter and it will bring back the luster.
