    Figure A
    Project designed by Kate Killean.

    Materials:

    One 6" round ivy topiary
1 strand white twinkle lights—35 bulb strand
6 ink cymbidium orchids for sphere and 2 for base
    7-10 hot pink roses
Aquapic® water holders—#56 stikpic (enough for flowers used)
40-50 pink, clear and white beads or pearls
    Silver beading wire
    2 wooded floral picks
    chiffon sheer ribbon
    urn or pot
    floral food
    floral cutters

    Embellished Ivy Topiary

    1. Begin by putting white twinkle lights into the sphere and around the ivy ball. Wind the strand down the stem and put a few lights into the base.

    2. Prepare Aquapics® by filling with water mixed with floral food. Put rubber tops on tubes.

    3. Cut orchid and rose stems at an angle—to about an inch to an inch and a half.

    4. Insert flowers into their Aquapics into the topiary and evenly space them around.

    5. Insert flowers in their Insert Two orchids to one side at the base of the topiary stem.

    6. String beads onto beading wire and attach to a wooden floral pick (figure A) and insert the pick into the base of the topiary. Wind down around the stem to the base of the plant.

    7. Cut a piece of ribbon about two fee long, fold it in half, and wire onto a wooden floral pick at the center point of the ribbon. Insert into the base of the topiary ball at the opposite side of the base orchids.

    8. Place in a pot or urn.

    9. Plug in lights.

    Tips:

    • Aquapics are available at floral supply stores.

    • Decorate topiary using any type of flower you wish—daisies, mums, peonies, etc.

    • Just change the flower and water when the bloom expires.

    • This arrangement can easily be adapted to any holiday theme.
