  • Crafts Quick Tip: Metal Leafing
  • From "Ask DIY"
    episode ADI-514
    advertisement

Metal leafing can be a great addition to some of your crafting projects, but the leaf is very delicate and tricky to work with. To make it easier to handle and at the same time keep it from wrinkling, press a piece of waxed paper firmly onto the right side of a sheet of leafing. Pick up the waxed paper and shake it gently to be sure you have picked up only a single sheet, then press it down onto the work surface to secure it. Lift off the waxed paper, and the leaf stays right where you put it.
