    Felt Pizza
    Felt Pizza

    Materials:

felt: tan, deep red, brown and pale yellow
    scissors
    46-oz. tomato juice container lid
    quarter
    safety can opener
    thin marker
    Tacky Glue (optional)
    scalloped scissors

    1. To make pizza dough, cut the top off a tomato juice container using a safety can opener (it will curl the lid edges so little fingers can't get hurt) (figure A).

    2. For the crust, trace lid onto tan felt. Cut out felt and glue to lid (figure B).

    3. For sauce, trace lid onto deep red felt. Cut out sauce/felt with scalloped scissors, cutting just slightly inside the trace line. Center sauce/felt on dough/felt, making sure sauce is centered to show pizza crust (figure C).

    4. To create toppings, cut small circles of brown felt to make pepperoni. Small fish-shaped anchovies are cut from grey felt, green peppers from green felt and mushrooms from light brown felt. To make black olives, cut small circles from black felt and punch a hole through the center (figure D).

    5. For cheese, cut thin strips of the pale yellow felt (figure E).

flat, expandable sponges, yellow and pink
    pen
    quarter
    scissors
    white craft paint
    craft glue
    mini ribbons
    mini beads

    2. Cut a small triangle from the circle (this will be a piece of cake) (figure H). Wet the sponges, let expand and set aside to dry.

Felt Fortune Cookie (right) and Mini Cupcakes (center)
    Felt Fortune Cookies

    Materials:

    tan felt
    yogurt lid (or similar size)
    fine-tip marker
    scissors
    low-temp glue gun
    strip of white paper
    black pen

    1. Write or print (from a computer) a fortune on the paper strip.

    2. Using fine-tip marker, trace lid on felt and cut out.

    3. Place a finger in the middle of the felt/cookie and bend cookie around finger, shaping into a traditional fortune cookie shape.

    4. Run a continuous line of glue around the outside edge of the felt circle. Working quickly, place the strip of paper across the felt circle, to one side of the crease.

    5. Fold felt over and press with fingers until glue sets.

    6. If needed, add a drop of glue and push felt in at the middle of the folded area to secure.

    Mini Cupcakes

    Materials:

    mini foil muffin liners
    large brown or white pompons
    small pink pompon
    small bugle beads
    tacky glue

    1. Place a drop of tacky glue in the bottom of muffin liner. Next, place a large pompon in the liner.

    2. Glue small pink pompon and bugle beads on top of large pompon.
