    Jeans Pocket Organizer

A favorite pair of old jeans can give you a leg up on getting organized around the house.

    Jeans Pocket Organizer
    Materials:

    1 pants legs
3 pockets cut from jeans (just the pocket, not the actual jeans)
    2 grommets
    cardboard
    fun patches or fabric embellishments
    Fabric Tac adhesive
    scissors
    pinking shears
    ruler
    marking chalk
    iron

    1. Remove three seat pockets from two pairs of old jeans with pinking shears, making sure to cut and remove the back of the pocket; this will help keep the pocket from possibly peeling off later in the process.

    2. Cut the leg from a pair of jeans; this will be the foundation of the organizer (figure A).

    3. Measure and cut a piece of cardboard the length of the pants leg (figure B) and insert it into the leg.

    4. Apply a bead of glue along the hem of the leg and glue the leg shut.

    5. Glue the first pocket onto the leg (apply glue to the edge of the pocket only). Continue gluing the pockets, spacing them equally apart (figure C).

    6. For added embellishment, use fabric glue to apply decorative patches or ribbons to the fabric (figure D).

    7. Following manufacturer's instructions, attach 2 grommets to the top corners of the leg, 1" from the top and 1/2" from the edge (figure E).
