    Host Dena Fishbein shows you how to design a really stylish collar for your dog.
    Materials --

    1 black nylon dog collar
    Small pink rickrack
    Fabri-Tac
    Scissors
    Thin gauge wire
    13" length of 1' wide grosgrain ribbon: rink, white and black stripe
    Small coordinating piece of 1/4" wide ribbon
    1 black nylon leash

    1. Place the small rickrack beneath where the collar holes are located and glue it onto collar with Fabri-Tac and let dry. Put the rickrack under the loop and buckle and glue the end underneath (figure A).

      Note: If the rickrack comes loose a little after your pet wears it, just apply more glue.

    2. Cut a 5" length of wire and set aside.

    3. Cut an 8" long piece of 1" wide grosgrain ribbon and fold both ends over to the front into the shape of an "X" and then hold it right in the center. Wrap wire twice around the center of the bow (figure B).

    4. Place bow on top of collar in the center and use the remaining wire to wrap and secure onto the collar. Trim the excess wire and straighten the bow out.

      Note: Make sure and pinch the wire under real good so that it will not hurt your pet.

    5. Take piece of coordinating 1/4" ribbon and adhere over the wire (figure C) with Fabri-Tac.

    6. Glue the rickrack onto the leash so that it will match your collar (figure D).
