    1. Take the watch with you to the store when you purchase the ribbon.

    2. Cut grosgrain ribbon to desired length of watchband sides adding 1/4" extra for each side of the ribbon.

FYI: Grosgrain ribbon is cut from Bengaline fabric -- noted for its ridges or "stripes."

    3. Fold under 1/8" and glue edge under on both sides of the ribbon with FabriTac and let it dry.

    4. Adhere ribbon to watchband using FabriTac. Once you set it on the band, work with the fabric to get it nice and straight -- smooth it out with your fingers (figure A). Fold under raw edges and secure with FabriTac. Let dry.

    5. Turn the watchband over and use an awl to make holes where the holes are in the band (figure B). You will also need to make a hole where the prong is where the watch is fastened.

Safety Tip: Be really careful using the awl so that you don't stab yourself. The awl is really sharp and looks like a thick long needle.

    6. These are so much fun and easy to make, you can make several to wear with different outfits (figure C).
