Hand Painted Necklace T-Shirt From "Embellish This!" episode DEMB-113

Host Dena Fishbein demonstrates how to permanently add jewelry to your T- shirts.

Materials:

T-shirt
Black permanent thin tipped fabric marker
Beads
Needle
Thread
Scissors

1. Stabilize your T-shirt by placing a piece of cardboard underneath before you draw your design so the ink will not bleed through to the backside.

2. Draw a necklace in the form of upside down cursive "e's" around the neckline (figure A).

3. Lay beads onto the necklace to determine where they look best.

   Tip: Lay beads onto a damp cloth so they won't roll around. You can use beads from old necklace or old jewelry, vintage beads, etc.

4. Sew the beads onto the T-shirt starting from the center and working out toward the ends (figure B).
