    Materials:
    2-1/4 yd: linen, cotton, silk broadcloth, 60" wide
    3/4 yd fusible or sew-in interfacing, 24," 45," 60" wide
    Eleven 3/8" or 1/2" buttons
    Thread (good quality)
    Standard shirt pattern that has the following features:
    - Separate collar and band
    - Back pleated into self-lined yoke
    - Forward shoulder seams
    - Long sleeves with pleats, placket and cuffs

    Steps:

    1. Cut pattern pieces according to the pattern instructions.

    2. Transfer all markings to the fabric.

    3. Fold fronts along fold lines to create the shirt front bands. Edgestitch along inner foldlines.

      *Optional: Edgestitch outer folds also.

    4. Make pocket according to pattern instructions. Edgestitch pocket onto the shirt left front at markings.
