 Altered Books Tape Transfers

Materials:clear packing tape color copies with images 1/4" wider than the width of the packing tape water bone folder or old credit card scissors gel medium paint brush optional: photo corners 1. Trim the images to just larger than the width of the tape. Apply tape to the front of the color image (figure A).
2. Rub the bone folder/credit card over the tape and image to remove any air bubbles (figure B). Trim around the edges for a clean finish.
3. Soak the tape in warm water for approximately three minutes before rubbing the paper off the back (figure C) (figure D). Allow to dry. Where you have lighter colors, you will be able to see through the transfer.4. Apply the tape transfer using gel medium, glue stick or photo corners (figure E).
