    1. Measure the side, top and bottom of a wooden cigar box. Make a crown template out of cardboard or two-ply museum board.

    2. Glue the felt to the inside top and bottom (figure A) of the boxes using Fabri-Tac. You can spread it on with a Popsicle stick. Smooth it down and make it nice and flat and tuck it in. Then glue felt on all the sides of the box.

    3. Paint the wooden ball feet gold and then glue onto the four corners of the bottom of the box with hot glue.

Note: First, cut a crown template out of cardboard to help check for size and shape.

    4. Cut the crown out of the felt and glue in to the center of the top of the box (figure B).

    5. Spray the rhinestones with the Glossy wood tone to give them an aged effect.

    6. Glue the rhinestones or other embellishments (old jewelry brooches, etc.) of your choice on the box in a decorative pattern (figure C).

    7. Glue beaded fringe around the edge of the box (figure D).

    8. Glue the ribbon on top of the beaded fringe base ribbon.

    9. For an added touch, glue a mirror to the inside cover and trim with ribbon.
