- Bend two 12" sections of wire in half and take the other two 12" sections of wire and make a 1", 90-degree angle bend (figure A).
- Place this wire about 2" from the end of the leather.
- Gather the remaining seven pieces of leather around the first piece of leather with the silver wire (figure B).
- The double section of wire should be sticking out the end of the eight bundled strands of leather. The 90-degree angle should be sticking out of the bundle. Wrap the 90-degree wire towards the end of the leather bundle. Wrap the wire tightly and keep the wraps next to each other. Make a 1/2" of wire wrapped leather.
- Trim off the excess leather to the top of the wire wrap. (Be careful not to cut off the silver wire sticking out of the end of the leather bundle.)
- Place the silver cone onto the silver wire and the end of the leather bundle (figure C).
- Place the clasp on the wire and then wrap the clasp down to the silver cone (figure D) until it is nice and snug.
- Place the large diameter beads onto the leather bundle.
- Place the leather bundle around your wrist to get an accurate measurement for the size of the bracelet. Mark that spot on the leather with a pencil. Start the wire wrap at the pencil mark to insure the correct size of the bracelet.
- Repeat steps 1 through 5 at the other end of the bracelet. Repeat step 6 with the swivel clasp instead of the soldered jump ring.
- Place jump rings around leather in an interesting pattern (figure E), alternating the two sizes to create variation.
