    Sugar Scrub

    Sugar and Salt Body Scrubs
    Ingredients:

    2 c. turbinado (raw) sugar
    1/2 c. avocado oil
    1/4 c. apricot kernel oil
    essential or fragrance oil (we used ginger and vanilla)
    honey
    plastic screw-top jar for storage
    jar lid liners (available at online homemade beauty products suppliers, such as Majestic Mountain Sage)
    shrink bands sized to fit jars
    embossing or heat gun

    1. Mix together the sugar, oils and honey with several drops of essential oils (figure A) (figure B).

    2. Spoon the mixture into containers (figure C). This recipe makes approximately four 4-oz. containers.

    3. Top each container with a jar lid liner and screw it in place (figure D).

    4. Print label text on sticker paper.

    5. Insert the jar through the shrink band sleeve (figure E). Apply heat with an embossing or heat gun. The band will shrink and wrap around the jar, sealing it closed.

    Salt Scrub

    Ingredients:

    2 c. coarse sea salt
    1/2 c. avocado oil
    1/4 c. apricot kernel oil
    essential or fragrance oils (we used cucumber and green tea fragrance oils)
    honey
    plastic screw-top jar for storage
    jar lid liners (available at online homemade beauty products suppliers, such as Majestic Mountain Sage)
    shrink bands sized to fit jars
    embossing or heat gun

    1. Mix together coarse sea salt, oils and honey with fragrance or essential oils (figure A) (figure B) (figure C).

    Basket Building Techniques

    Combine lip balm, soaps and scrubs into one fantastically rejuvenating gift basket.

    Gift Baskets
    Materials:

    basket or other container
    shredded paper
    bath and beauty products
    24" or 30" clear cellophane
    ribbon
    optional: a printed card that includes a personal message and the product ingredients, or additional bath items such as towels, a rubber duck, etc.

    1. Place shredded paper in the bottom of the basket/container. Arrange the bath and beauty products on top of the paper (figure A). If desired, add a card (figure B).

    2. Cut a piece of cellophane 24" longer than the total length of the sides and bottom of the basket. Place the basket in the center of the length of cellophane and gather the ends together.

    3. Tie the cellophane ends together with a small piece of ribbon; tape the sides of the cellophane down, if necessary (figure C).
