Plants, flowers and miniature villages are part of the landscape surrounding Frank and Pat Curtis's garden railroad.

Frank and Pat Curtis have taken model railroading to the great outdoors: their garden. The British natives designed their model railroad as a replica of the English countryside, complete with a castle. Pieces are modified as necessary to fit the railroad plan.

Pat has shared her knowledge of gardening with Frank, while Frank has educated Pat on the more technical aspects of model-railroad engineering. Garden railroading is the fastest-growing segment of model railroading, and the couple advise interested hobbyists to join a club or read Outdoor Railroader magazine or Garden Railway.
