Ken Caulkins restores antique transportation -- mechanical or powered by human energy. His turn-of-the-century collection includes motorized stagecoaches, small coal-powered locomotives, and amusement-park rides. Caulkins, who loves to polish, grind, solve problems and rebuild, says the hobby relieves the stress of the day. The ability to see immediate change, he says, is empowering.
