Bill Goldberg: Collecting Muscle Cars Muscle man, muscle cars: professional wrestler Bill Goldberg holds the longest winning streak in his sport's history, and his collection of muscle cars contains vehicles with the same sort of staying power. A couple of prime examples: a replica of a 1966 Cobra and his pride and joy: a 1970 Dodge Challenger convertible. Goldberg values the cars as much for their therapeutic value as for their monetary worth. And why not? After a hard day's work wrestling men who are equally massive -- and determined to win -- as he is, he can just get into one of his cars and take off down the nearest road, away from the screaming crowds. Another celebrated collector of cars is Tonight Show host Jay Leno. His vehicles of choice, though, are classics of another sort: vintage cars. Leno appreciates his collection for its therapeutic value of a different sort: that of being able to use a couple of basic tools to put a piece of automotive history back into working order.
Eddie Money: Collecting Sports Memorabilia Rocker Eddie Money has a love of sports in his blood: his dad was an usher at Ebbets Field, the home of the legendary Brooklyn Dodgers, and as a child, Money saw many of the legends of baseball in their prime. So it's natural that when he grew up he would become an avid collector of sports memorabilia. So avid, in fact, that he maintains that he would probably sell his gold records before he'd sell any part of his collection!
James Avery: Collecting Black Americana "Black Americana are those things that refer ... to our condition in this country," explains actor James Avery, who is perhaps best known for his work on the popular '90s TV series Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The socially active celebrity has been collecting these historical treasures for years, and he doesn't shy away from the ones that are politically incorrect. He chooses to surround himself with them -- in addition to the ones that aren't so disquieting -- as a way of paying tribute to his forebears and what they suffered to enable him to be where he is today.
