    Straight stitch 1/4" from folded edge of the bias.

    Trim the excess fabric 3/16" from stitch line.

    Use a safety pin or bias turner to pull right side of fabric out and press final spaghetti.

    Draw a straight line on tearaway and mark first loop placement on the line . Then with a ruler measure distance from first to the second and mark its placement. Use the same procedure for additional loops.

    Pin first loop at the first mark on the tearaway figure B). At this point, the button being used should be tested to figure the exact length of the loops needed and leave 1/2" seam allowance.

    Press all loops in place while still pinned to tearaway.

    Mark with tailor's chalk exact sew line for finished button loops, and sew a straight stitch on that line (figure C). At this point check to be sure button goes through loop easily.
