This skirt features a narrow, elasticized waist tie, cut on the bias (figure A). Here's how to make it. - Sew the waistband together at the short ends.
- Fold and press over long end.
- Pin and sew the waistband to skirt (figure B).
- Fold and press other long end over and pin.
- Stitch in the ditch on the top side of the waistband (figure C).
- Draw the elastic through the casing and tack it down at each end (figure D ).
- Sew the ties closed.
