    Neat lapels are another indication of careful workmanship.

  • To ease cap of sleeve, machine baste 5/8" and 1/2" from raw edge.

  • Stitch sleeve seam and hem with serger.

  • Stay-stitch lower armhole edge of jacket.

  • With right sides together, pin sleeve into armhole. Stitch, easing as necessary.

  • Stitch again and trim seam allowances.

  • Make buttonholes in left side of jacket and sew buttons onto the right.
