Wet/dry vacs are portable canister vacuums that pick up either wet or dry materials. The 1-gallon, 1-horsepower wet/dry vac is good for cleaning debris from the bottom of a table saw (figure A). Brush attachments may be used to permit cleaning small areas, such as the face of the saw. The 12-gallon, 4.5-horsepower wet/dry vac is suitable for larger jobs, such as vacuuming leaves (figure B). Special filters for wet or dry projects are available.
