    Tips:

    • Wear your spiked golf shoes when maintaining your lawn. It won't help your golf swing, but it does aerate compacted soil.

    • If your grass tips turn white after you've mowed, your mower blades probably need to be sharpened. Rotary blades should be honed monthly; reel types, annually.

    • If your shower's metal frame suffers from water spots, hit the spot with lemon oil on a clean rag.

    • To get rid of mildew or soap buildup on interior caulking, apply rubbing alcohol straight from the bottle with a clean rag.

    • When planning a walkway, usage determines width. A person walking alone will need 24" to 30" of path width. Two people walking side by side usually require 3' to 4'.

    • When chiseling concrete, work through a wire screen to keep flying debris to a minimum.
