    Tips

    • For hard and strong concrete projects, keep the project surface wet for one week while the cement cures.

    • Be sure to clean or replace furnace filers every two months for optimum efficiency.

    • When digging your foundation, mark the handle of a shovel with masking tape to indicate the proper depth. That way you can check the depth and clean out the loose dirt at the same time.

    • When cleaning your fireplace, a damp cloth dipped into cooled ashes will help you easily wipe away smoke stains from glass fireplace doors.

    • Bothered by mildew on your deck, fence or roof? Scrub the affected areas with straight vinegar or a 50/50 solution of bleach and water. To prevent future attacks, give your freshened wood two coats of wood sealer.
