    Steps:

    1. Preheat the roaster oven to 150 degrees.

    2. Place lazy Susan on the cookie sheet, then put the pillar candle on top of the lazy Susan.

    3. Warm the wax in pots. When the wax is melted, add color dyes (one pot of red and one pot of black dye) to the wax and stir. Then add a tablespoon of the desired scent. Let cool for approximately five minutes.

    4. Ladle the yellow-tapered candle with the red melted wax several times until there is a "band" of new color on the taper candle. Repeat for the black wax (figure A). Once finished, place the taper candles into the roaster oven. (Turn down to 75 degrees.) The tapered candles should be warm but not melting.

    5. Slice the tapered candles like a carrot and place on the hot plate (figure B). Keep the wax warm but not completely melting the tapered candles.

    6. Shape the wax slices with desired utensils; cookie cutters, stained glass shapes, flower petals, sculpting etc. Use the blowtorch like a glue. Let the flames hit the pillar candle where the wax shape will be placed. Once torched on, give it another blast with the torch to make sure the shape adhered properly. Spin the pillar candle around on the lazy Susan until the candle is filled with stained-glass slices on the candle (figure C).

Use caution when working with a blowtorch.
