    Figure A
    1. Condition clay with hands and pasta maker.

Tip: Mix standard colors together to create unique (pastel) colors. For this project we'll need pink, light orange, light yellow and green.

    2. Using cornstarch, brush lightly the inside of the selected mold. Roll a ball of clay; press the ball into the letter mold (figure A). Repeat with different colors, designs and letters.

    3. When you remove the clay from the mold, trim off the excess clay around the design. Bake the tiles for 20 minutes at 275 degrees and allow time to cool.

Tip: To make the letters or designs really pop up glaze them with liquid polymer clay.

    4. In a small glass or metal dish, combine one half of a teaspoon of Translucent Liquid Sculpey with 1/16th of a teaspoon of duo green yellow mica powder. Mix thoroughly with a skewer.

    5. Using your finger or a paintbrush spread a thin coat of liquid clay over the letter alphabet tile. Allow the clay to settle into the impressions made by the mold. Wipe the excess tinted liquid clay off with a paper towel. Bake the tiles for ten minutes at 275 degrees.

    6. Attach tiles and other decorative embellishments to a plain CD case with craft glue to personalize your very own CD case!
