Creating unique jewelry is what Craft Lab’s Jennifer Perkins does best, and she makes some hip and funky jewelry for Michele Beschen, host of B. Original. Cameos are made from clip art, paper and painted wooden discs. These are mixed together with fun large beads and secured onto a gold strand. A bracelet completes the set.

    Steps:

    1. Spray paint the discs green on both sides and allow to dry.

    2. Cut circles out from the graffiti paper, slightly smaller than the discs, and use a punch to cut out the cameos. Cameos need to be printed with a laser jet printer so they won’t smear.

    3. Apply decoupage to the discs and then top with the graffiti paper and cover with more decoupage. Allow one side to dry to tacky and repeat for the other side.

    4. Repeat the above process with the cameo paper. Allow to dry overnight.

    5. Apply Diamond Glaze onto each side of the cameo charms. Allow each side to dry.

    6. Once the charms are dry, drill a small hole at the top of the charm.

    7. Apply a jump ring to each of the charms and all of the beads (figure A).

    8. Cut the gold chain to the proper length and alternate beads on the necklace, leaving a space for them to hang.

    9. Attach the clasp to the chain.
