| Make pliable clay out of bread and use the clay to make decorative magnets! |

Materials:white bread white craft glue lemon juice tempera or acrylic paints vegetable oil magnets rolling pin mixing bowls 2 smaller bowls knife

Steps:- Remove crusts from three slices of white bread.
- Tear bread into small pieces and place in a bowl.
- Add two tablespoons of white craft glue and three drops of lemon juice (figure A). Mix with your hands until it forms a workable ball. Rubber gloves may be considered since the clay can be sticky and messy.
- Add drops of paint (tempera or acrylic) to get the desired color; for multicolored projects, make batches of different colors (figure B).
- Use a rolling pin to roll out two colors of clay into very thin rectangular sheets.
- Stack one sheet on top of the other, roll together (like cinnamon rolls) into a log (figure C). Use a knife to cut off slices.
- Place slice on top of magnet and mold to cover the edges of your bread clay decorative magnets.
