    Materials:

10 ounces of chocolate (chopped chunks or chips) milk and white
    1/3 cup light corn syrup
    food coloring
    mixing bowls
    spatula
    toothpick

    Note: This chocolate is edible.

    Steps:

    1. Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave for one minute and stir. If the chocolate is not completely melted, return it to the microwave for 30 seconds at a time and stir until smooth. Or place the chocolate in the top of a double broiler over hot water and stir until melted.

    2. When the chocolate is melted add the corn syrup and blend.

    3. Pour the mixture onto a waxed paper sheet and spread the chocolate with your fingers until it's about 1/2-inch thick (figure A).

    4. Cover the chocolate loosely with waxed paper and let it stiffen for at least 6 hours or overnight. The chocolate will become very pliable.

    5. Sculpt the chocolate into the various parts of the dragonfly or any desired creature (figure B).

    6. Repeat steps 1-4 for making white chocolate modeling clay using white chocolate; however, add green food coloring in step #2 for the dragonfly's scarf (figure C) and pink food coloring for the polka dots. Cut out a green scarf from the green chocolate clay with a toothpick (figure D). Shape pink polka dots for your dragonfly scarf out of the pink chocolate clay!
