    Materials:

    tin can lids
    gold felt sheets
    marker
    glue
    tin snips
    aluminum foil pie pan
    red nail polish
    ornament hook
    8-1/2" x 11" sticker paper
    scissors

    Steps:

    1. Trace the tin lid onto gold felt (or any felt color). Shape into a teardrop shape (figure A).

    2. Cut out two felt tear drop shapes for each tin ornament.

    3. Glue both sides of tin can lid to the felt (figure B).

    4. With scissors, cut the rim (figure C) from an aluminum foil pie pan about 3/8-inch down from the top edge.

    5. Snip part way through the cut edge every 1/4-inch to create fringe (figure D).

    6. Curl the strip of the fringe around a pencil. The rolled edge of the former pie pan rim becomes the base of the silver fringe. Create a 3-inch fringe for the inner circle of the tin ornament and a 6-inch fringe for the outer circle of the tin ornament.

    7. Glue the base of the fringe to the felt ornament.

    8. Flatten the fringe with your fingers for a decorative ornament.

    9. Paint the inner fringe with red nail polish. Add an ornament hook and display (figure E).
