    Materials:

    10 light bulbs
    4 sets of spring clamps
    red, green, purple, black, gold, silver acrylic paint
    4 large paintbrushes
    gold ribbon
    green yarn
    gold metallic craft cord
    shiny beads – retro-style geometric
    gold sequins
    ornament hooks
    glue gun and glue
    white glue

    Steps:

    1. Paint bulbs with acrylic paint (figure A). Use spring clamps to hold the bulb while painting.

    2. Wrap a piece of craft wire a few times around the metal end of the bulb. Make a loop with the wire and wrap it around the base.

    3. Spiral cord tightly around the metal end of the light bulb and tie a ribbon or loop on the end and glue.

    4. Glue on desired embellishments (figure B). Beads and sequins make good embellishments. Costume jewelry pieces from thrift shops also make great embellishments.
