Materials:

16 super bright (X) LED's (15 for the board; one for the testing circuit)
3" x 5" copper board
rosin-core solder
soldering iron
80-ohm 1/2-watt resistor 1x15
5V power adapter 3.7
clamps
tape
3 wired alligator clips
2 unwired alligator clips
wire strippers
voltmeter - optional
pliers

Soldering the Lights

1. Using your soldering iron, heat the connection point on the front side of the board where the leg of the LED and the copper board touch (figure A).

2. Add a touch of solder, making certain the solder covers the entire connection.

3. Repeat for all the LED's.

4. Slip the legs of the resistor into the bottom vertical holes and solder.
