    Designing the Circuit Board

    1. Using the provided template (PDF), design your graphics up to 1-1/4-inch around the edges of the pattern.

    2. Generate black graphics with either of these two techniques:

      • Using graphics software, upload the template into a desired program and create the graphics digitally.

      • Print out the template. Collage your graphics onto the template, making sure not to collage over the provided pattern. Photocopy the collage at the darkest settings.

Note: The final graphics must be black! If any areas are gray, they will not transfer onto the copper plate properly.

    3. Print or photocopy the pattern on glossy photo paper using the darkest laser printer or copier setting. Note: Inkjet printers will not work.

    4. Do not touch the printed pattern with your fingers.

    5. Using a pair of scissors, cut out the pattern leaving at least 1/4-inch extra paper on either the left or right side. Your cut pattern should be 3-1/4" x 5."
