Jennifer and Kathy make personalized Lucha Libre place card holders for your Lucha Libre party theme. They glue a luchador (wrestler) figure to make a place card holder that you won't be able to wrestle away from any one.
Project designed by Kathy Cano Murillo.Materials: 2" x 3" wood generic Mexican wrestler toy 18-gauge wire 2 pieces of satin cording or ribbon paints 2 brushes beads for the bottom of the wrestling ring card stock pack of permanent makers drill and 1/16" drill bits scissors glue gun and glue gun sticks toothpicks

Lucha Libre Place Card Holders
- Paint the 2" x 3" wood piece.
- Drill holes in each corner (figure A).
- Snip the pointy ends off the toothpicks. And glue them into the holes on each corner (figure B).
- Cut the ribbon and tie it around each toothpick to create rope (figure C).
- Decorate the wrestler with paint and glitter glue.
- Hot-glue wrestler's feet to the ring.
- Measure where to place holes by eyeballing with name card. Drill a hole next to wrestler.
- Bend wire and place in hole next to wrestler.
- Decorate a small place card and place in bent wire (figure D).
Tips
- Make a larger version of the card holder to use as a Lucha Libre centerpiece.
- The wire is flexible enough to bend with your hands or use needle-nose pliers.
