Materials: A pillowcase Fabric or acrylic paints Poster paper Paper towels Stiff bristle brushes Cardboard -- same size as the pillowcase Pencils Masking tape Scissors Optional: glitter or glow-in-the-dark paint - Cut a piece of cardboard the size of the pillowcase and insert it into the pillowcase (figure A) so you will have a hard surface to work on.
- Cut out squares of poster paper. Inside the square, draw a shape and cut it out leaving a hollow stencil. Keep shapes simple for a clean appearance. Tape the stencil onto the pillowcase just enough to hold it in place (figure B).
- Dip the brush in the paint and blot any excess paint onto a paper towel. Using a darting motion, apply paint over the stencil (figure C). Peel up the stencil (figure D) and wipe off any excess paint and repeat the process all over the pillowcase. Use the same color of paint or try mixing it up for a more colorful effect. Then let it dry.
Tips: - Ask an adult for a suitable pillowcase.
- Have an adult supervise when you use scissors.
- Have an adult help you set up your work area so you do not get paint on anything valuable.
- Be careful when using acrylic paint because it will stain clothing.
Products: All products available at craft, art supply, and all-purpose stores nationwide.

Guest Donna Casey gave the girls a couple of ideas for their pajama parties. She told them to choose a theme (colors, etc.) that is personal to them. She also suggested that the activities they plan are ones that the entire group can participate in and enjoy.
