    It takes only a few easy steps to make your own mosquito repellent.

    Materials:

    1/3 cup apple-cider vinegar
    1/3 cup witch hazel
    5 drops citronella oil
    Spoon
    Paint pens
    Small spray bottle

    1. Pour all ingredients in spray bottle (figure A).

    2. Shake well each time before you spray. The vinegar smell will go away quickly.

    3. Decorate your bottle as you like (figure B).

    Tips:

    • You can recycle an old hairspray bottle to hold your repellent.

    • Citronella oil can be purchased at health-food stores.

    All products can be purchased at craft, health food and all-purpose stores nationwide. No special products are needed.
