    Materials:

3/4" PVC tubing: five 5' sections
Two 90-degree joints, 3/4" with side outlet 1/2"
Two coupling screw adapters, 1/2" to 3/4"
    Four 3/4" end caps
    PVC pipe-cutter or hacksaw
    Spray paint
    Heavy-duty tape
    Bricks
    Tape measure
    Painter's plastic drop cloth

    1. Measure and cut five sections of 5' PVC tubing.

    2. Screw the adapters into each of the angle joints (figure A). Place angle joints on each end of one 5-foot section of pipe.

    3. Paint to decorate if you like.

    4. Fit end caps onto end of each of four remaining pipe sections (figure B). This keeps dirt from getting up in the pipes.

    5. Pressure-fit joints together forming a real tent shape, two pipes at front and back (figure C).

    6. Cover the frame with plastic. If the plastic sheeting is not wide enough, cut another piece the same length and tape the two together. Lay the plastic over the frame and secure the edges with bricks or sandbags (figure D).

    Tips:

    • Always have an adult supervise when using tools.

    • We found that using spray paint worked best to decorate our PVC pipe. Always use spray paint outside where it is well ventilated.

    • If you do not have a PVC pipe-cutter, a hacksaw will really work great!

All products can be purchased at craft, hardware and all-purpose stores nationwide. No special products are needed.
