Q: I’ve been invited to a party where the hosts really like wine. I’m not a drinker, so could you suggest a good gift for wine lovers?
Diann: Wine stoppers, openers and chillers, charms, coffee table books about wine, cheese plates or crystal wine glasses are all great gifts.Q: Our good friends just got married and they’re using our summer home for their honeymoon. I’d love to give the house some extra special touches.
Diann: Well, your friends will never forget this! Set out some beautiful candles and flower petals on and around the bed. Q: I don’t have a warming tray and can’t seem to keep my appetizers hot. Can you suggest anything to keep them warm longer?
Diann: I have just the thing. Make sure you have some ovenproof plates on hand. About 10 minutes before you’re ready to serve your appetizers, put the plates in the oven. Put the food on there and these "hot plates" will help hold the heat longer. Q: My friends and I always end up playing cards at parties. I’d like to surprise them with a game night that doesn’t include cards.
