    Host John Greviskis takes a test ride in his project boat to see how well the trim tabs work in correcting the porpoising problem.

    Take the boat out on the water at the speed when the boat would start porpoising. Trim the tabs down, forcing the nose of the boat to come down and level out (figure A). Adjust the trim tabs as needed, up or down keeping the boat from going up and down out of the water.
