    Cleaning an aerator

    1. Using tape-wrapped pliers, unscrew the aerator from the spout.
    2. Disassemble the aerator, taking care to note the exact order of parts. Replace the washer if it is worn or cracked.
    3. Soak the screen and aerator disks in vinegar for an hour or more, and scrub them with a small brush. Turn on the faucet to flush sediment from the spout.
    4. Reassemble the aerator and thread the assembly back onto the spout. Tighten it one-quarter turn with pliers.
    Cleaning the spray head
    1. Pry the screw cover from the nozzle with a knife or small screwdriver. Remove the screw to free the perforated disk, seat and sleeve. Set these parts aside in exact order in which you removed them. Buy replacement for all washers.
    2. To remove deposits, soak the disk and seat in vinegar for at least an hour, then scrub with a small brush. Reassemble the sprayer.
