Designer Meri Stevens, former president of Waverly Fabrics, explains to Cindy Piccoli, host of HGTV's Decorating With Style, how to use Waverly's Print Shop fabric to create a coordinated look in the bathroom.

Panel prints are ideal for decorating a bathroom and may be used in a variety of ways. Turn the fabric into a shower curtain (figure A), cut individual panels to hang on the walls, or glue coordinating fabric around a wastebasket.

To frame individual fabric panels, buy ready-to-assemble stretcher frames at an art-supply store. Waverly Print Shop fabric panels fit perfectly on 18" frames. Fit the grooved ends of the wood strips together (figure B), and use wood glue or staples to reinforce each corner. Cut evenly between the fabric panels (figure C), and trim off the selvages. Pull the fabric taut, and staple it to the sides of the frame (figure D). At each corner, form a neat hospital corner with the fabric, and staple it to the frame. Glue 1/2" grosgrain ribbon around the sides of the frame to hide the staples.
