In addition to holding towels for convenience, towel racks can be used to display towels. One option that makes the most of the available space is a rack for rolled-up towels (figure A). Such racks are used mostly used for holding hand towels and face cloths. Another space-saving option is a pivoting towel stand (figure B), which has bars that can be moved so that the towels aren't in the way. If you'd like something more decorative, try a two-tiered brass towel bar (figure C) or a bar with a brushed pewter look (figure D). These racks are installed on brackets mounted to the wall. They're held in place by setscrews that attach to the brackets (figure E). When installing brackets for towel holders, use self-tapping hollow wall anchors (figure F) rather than simple plastic anchors. If you're interested in a high-tech towel rack, consider a freestanding heated rack (figure G).
