  • DIY NETWORK GOES "INSIDE" AMERICA’S BIGGEST CRAFT AND HOBBY TRADE SHOW

  • Knoxville, Tenn. – May 2007 – Are you passionate about needle arts? Looking for the perfect die cutter? On Sunday, May 6 at 9 p.m. ET, DIY Network provides an insider’s look into the largest trade convention for craft and hobby enthusiasts. Catch displays of the hippest, coolest, most-wanted new products in the world of crafting with the network’s premiere of its one-hour special, DIY Inside: Craft and Hobby Show 2007. Only on DIY do viewers get to go where the general public isn’t permitted – the Craft & Hobby Association Show!

"Our DIY crafters are hungry for great ideas as well as new craft products, and CHA showcases them first," says Freddy James, vice president of DIY programming. "We wanted to cover every square inch of the event, so we sent six of our DIY craft experts to try out the newest tools, gadgets and materials. In the end, they all came back with their favorites and we're featuring them all in this one-hour special."

DIY craft gurus – Steve Piacenza, Cathie Filian, Michele Beschen, Vickie Howell, Jennifer Perkins and Sandi Genovese – report "live" from the floor of the CHA show in Anaheim. From glue guns to stencils, die cutters to self-inking stamp machines, these crafters cover it all. Catch game show hostess Vanna White, an avid crocheter, when she debuts her new line of organic yarn in the special. Crafting icon Martha Stewart is on hand to launch her new scrapbooking line: Shared, Cherish, Celebrate and Play themed materials.
