  • Knoxville, Tenn - May 2006 - The combined Scripps Networks Web sites - www.HGTV.com, www.FoodNetwork.com, www.DIYnetwork.com, www.FineLiving.com, www.GACtv.com - ranked #1 in the Nielsen/NetRatings Home & Fashion category for the month of April. Additionally, FoodNetwork.com ranked #1 in the Food & Cooking category in both unique visitors and page views.

    Year-to-year three of the Scripps Networks sites saw growth of 30 percent or more in unique visitors - www.FoodNetwork.com (33%), www.GACtv.com (33%) and www.DIYnetwork.com (30%). "The fact that our established Web sites continue to show significant growth, combined with the powerful initial performance of our newest properties, means that we are delivering value to the consumer, and that translates into value for our advertisers," said Ron Feinbaum, senior vice president and general manager of Scripps Networks Interactive.

    Since its launch in January 2006, broadband channel HGTV KitchenDesign (www.HGTVKitchenDesign.com) is averaging nearly 1 million video views per month and more than 1 million views of the online designer according to Omniture. The average time spent on the site also continues to increase, at 8.61 minutes for April 2006. In May HGTV KitchenDesign has been joined by two new broadband channels - HGTV BathDesign (www.HGTVBathDesign.com) and DIY Woodworking (www.DIYnetwork.com).

    Scripps Networks Interactive

    The dynamic Web sites created and supported by Scripps Networks Interactive attracted an average of more than 12 million unique visitors per month in 2005, a growth of nearly 30 percent from the previous year. The Scripps Networks Interactive properties - HGTV.com, FoodNetwork.com, DIYnetwork.com, FineLiving.com, GACtv.com, HGTVPro.com, HGTVKitchenDesign.com, HGTVBathDesign.com and DIY Woodworking - are not only extensions of Scripps Networks leading lifestyle brands providing users programming information and additional instructional content but also exciting destinations for original content, engaging video and powerful interactive tools.
