Josh Schneider

Josh Schneider is a lifelong gardener who credits his grandmother with teaching him about plants. In 1996, he established Mourning Dove Farms, a retail nursery specializing in rare and unusual plants, in his hometown of Mahomet, Ill.

During the past four years Schneider has traveled throughout Central America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Asia and South Africa to collect new plant specimens. He has given hundreds of talks to trade and consumer groups on a variety of topics, inclding container gardening, new plant varieties and their uses and ornamental grasses. Schneider writes for several consumer and trade publications, and has appeared in numerous television segments and news features. Additionally, Schneider is the national spokesperson for Proven Winners and the director of sales and marketing for EuroAmerican Propagators in Bonsall, Calif.
