Dubbed America's "first couple of birding," Don and Lillian Stokes are the country's most productive and popular birding authors and TV personalities. In more than a quarter-century of teaching about birds, they have also pioneered bird watching shows on national television; their PBS series, Stokes on Birds, was seen by more than 40 million viewers. The Stokeses are also prolific authors (to date, their 30-plus books have sold in excess of 4-1/2 million copies), popular lecturers and avid wildlife photographers and videographers. In fact, they shot all the wildlife footage of birds seen on their recent TV shows as well as on DIY's Bird Watching Workshop.
