Since the publication of Bruce Johnson's popular book, Fifty Simple Ways to Save Your House (1995), do-it-yourselfers nationwide have been turning to him for advice on woodworking, refinishing and home-improvement projects. An expert in building and restoring homes, Johnson has been featured in several magazines, including Country Living, for which he also serves as a contributing editor.Johnson has appeared on the Today show, The Home Show, HomeWise and The Fix, to name a few. Currently at work renovating a 1973 ranch house, which will be featured in an upcoming issue of Old House Interiors magazine, he also recently completed a 1,400-square-foot cottage for his family. (That project that is chronicled in his next book, entitled Lake Lure Journal). Johnson lives in Fairview, North Carolina.
