Following a 15-year career as a professional musician, Kent Lindsey caught the acting bug and never looked back. Although he's had parts in feature films, including Glory and GI Jane, the role closest to his heart is that of Safari Sam, a character he created to host the Kids Club on the Fox affiliate in Jacksonville, Florida, for the past 10 years. As Safari Sam, Lindsey has produced two audio cassettes of original music that promote positive self-esteem, the importance of staying in school and staying off drugs. His professional talents have brought him accolades from Attorney General Janet Reno, the City of Jacksonville and the Greater Families in Action organization.
