Got a small chip on your windshield? Well, there's an easy way to keep it from expanding, says auto expert Trisha Hessinger. - Just apply a bit of clear nail polish on both the outside and the inside of the windshield. A few carefully applied drops will do the trick!
- You'll want to reapply the polish every few months since exposure to sun, wind and rain will eventually cause it to wear off.
- For a medium-sized chip, purchase a special resin for windshield repair at your local auto-supply store. This will prevent the damage from spreading to the point that you have to replace the entire windshield.
