RV Doctor House Call #1: Installing an Awning LockMaterials and Tools: awning lock kit drill Line up the block assemble with the arm to make sure the pin has enough clearance after installation (figure A).- Mark the location with a template sticker to ensure that the holes are drilled in the proper place.
- Pre-drill the holes.
- Push screws through the holes and attach mechanism to the awning arm.
- Mark the position where the pin will be in locked position.
- Roll up the awning to the exact place the pin will need to be when locked.
- Drill a hole in the marked spot on the end cap.
- Screw the self tightening screw in the end cap.
- Now the awning can be locked in to place with a simple switch of the mechanism.
RV Doctor House Call #2: Water Leak Tools: drill crescent wrench - Disassemble the flooring under the sink to get a full look at the area.
- In this case the leak is caused by a bad connection between the icemaker and the water purifier.
- Tighten fitting with crescent wrench at source of leak.
